PINE TINT GREEN
« on: April 04, 2016, 11:19:37 AM »
Does anyone have the mixing formula for the pine tint green for the Darrin in an acrylic enamel and the paint manufacturer?
Thanks

Try these guys, so far they're absolutely nailing it on my Aero colors, at good prices. Should be able to report on engine color paint soon. Talk to Jimmy "Chips", the guy in the video.

I tried to use those paint codes a few months ago but the problem is they are older. I used autocolorlibrary to attempt to get a newer duPont or PPG code  for both Pine Tint and the Yellow. They ended up giving me a 1960's Pontaic Yellow code and said it was the same. I had a yellow sample mixed in single stage and it was a dirty yellow/brown and not the Darrin yellow. Unfortunately, I am struggling greatly to find a "newer" paint codes.

I found the Pine Tint green in PPG #47616 called Pond Green Deltron. I used a piece of green Vinyl to match it. It appears correct. I will know when I shoot it.
The yellow was a special mix using the Yellow vinyl to accomplish this.
