Here are some pics of my Manhattan. Waiting for my bumpers to come back from the chrome platers. Still 2 weeks away.

Interesting, colors appear identical to our '51 Frazer we had mostly restored before selling to Carroll Overton in the summer of 2015. Our interior was also red but all the components were inside the car and trunk for assembly and indeed the bumpers needed rechrome. So we are partial to those colors. Looks really great.

I've owned this car since 1985. The lower charcoal gray is metallic with a solid onyx roof. I'm finishing it now that my Darrin has been done since 2010. Time to enjoy this one too.

Our intent was to finish the car you see the picture of that has auto tranny and follow it with a 4-door hardtop with 3-speed and OD painted the same color black roof but a lighter gray bottom, but at the time we had taken on two other cars from a friend's estate sale and priorities changed and we sold the second hardtop as well.
The '51 hardtop is such a sleek nice looking car and I think that black roof sets it off.

Over the last few weekends I have been installing a power brake booster and dual chamber master cylinder. What a difference when stopping. Still has the drums but the effort to push the pedal is so much less now. I am also adding power steering. The pump, the steering box and linkage are already installed. The new column is made, the new horn contacts are installed. All that's left now is the shift mechanism. The steering now is 2 3/4 turns lock to lock instead of 5 1/2 turns lock to lock. No more steering by Armstrong. Now it's steering by Eaton and Delphi. I'll add more pics after everything isdone.

The fitting and materials of this interior are simply magnificent. It is so refreshing to see an interior done with a correctness and attention to detail that rivals the line workers at Jackson. You don't ensconce yourself in an engine compartment--you drive from an interior! And what an interior!
