Question for anyone/everyone who can help. Are the painted interior parts (dash, windshield and door trim, etc) the same color as the exterior color on a 1948 Kaiser. Ours is paint code 131 Crystal Green.
I also found the body tag and it reads as follows;
Model; 481
Body; 5
Paint; 131
Trim; 121
RD;
KI;
TR; 2
RA; 2
AN;
HR;
CL;
DR; 1
SL;
SPEC. FO;
CR;
SCHED; 141
ITEM NO; 360
BODY NUMBER; 78446
Thanks

Sometimes the dash, window frames and other small painted parts are the same color, but many times thay are not. Usually, they're a darker color.

This one is just the opposite. The Crystal Green is almost black in appearance while the interior color is a dark (similar to a Forest) Green that is lighter than the exterior. Is the number under the trim the paint code for the interior? Ours is 121 which comes up as Turf Green on the chart but doesn't look the same as the color on the glove box door hinge. I'm baffled here why I can't find a match to the interior color anyplace.

Here is Crystal Green - ALMOST Black

How about the interior color? Is that the 121 code (Turf Green) under "trim" on the cowl tag?
Thanks!

Trim code 121 for the 48 Kaisers is as follows:
Seat material = grey pin stripe
Interior plastics = Sandstone (tan-ish color)
Interior enamel paintwork = Willow Green

I can find it on a paint chip sheet.
Does anyone know if it was ever on a paint chip sheet??

I found last night in a bulletin the rims were painted the body color (Crystal Green)(I knew that as we have the original rims in very good shape) with Cabaret Green stripes on them. One more shade of green to find formulations for ???

Here is an excellent source of color chips for all automobiles 1920 to the present.

Update:
The people above were able to formulate the "Willow Green" paint based on the old ACME chart and our glove box door.
