Title: Leather embossed cardboard
Post by: MarkH on March 05, 2017, 07:26:22 PM
I need to duplicate the cardboard panels on the upper firewall under the dash, the panel on brace's in the trunk behind the rear seat and the package tray. They all have a leather pattern embossed on them.

Any idea where to find it?

Have checked with Quietride Solutions? They may have the pattern and can make one. They're not cheap but they look great.

I just did a brief look and they have the Jeeps and Willys Trucks. I didn't see  passenger cars but it may be worth contacting them and asking.

Best approximation I can find is something called Cowl Board. Not quite as thick or deeply embossed but pretty close. Upholstery supply houses carry it in black, LeBaron Bonney carries it in colors other than black, I believe Ford colors.  LeBaron says it can be painted so I'm going to try that before going with their gray for the toe kicks & package tray. Local upholsterer is having it come in on their monthly delivery truck.
Bottom row in photo is door panel material.
