It's a long story...anyway, grabbed the box of brake items for the Darrin when I started cleaning up the passengerside front wheel cylinder. Good news: the cylinder looks nice...Bad news: I'm missing the pistons and the pins to the shoes:-/ yes I plan on getting some new cylinders when/if necessary
It's not a problem pulling some pistons from some other cores laying around from the Fords. But since the front pins are missing I need some assistance.
1) is the pin end to the shoe a standard single slot or is it the plus shaped/Phillips bit slot?
2) what is the length of the pins?
Sorry to be needy, but I have the old girl stuffed against the wall and can't pull the other side at the moment. I think the old man is laughing and knows exactly the 5 different places he left said parts:-)

There are no pins in the wheel cylinders. The shoes have tabs that touch the pistons in the wheel cylinders. Same as the big Kaiser Frazer cars. 11 inch shoes. I don't have a photo handy, but it should be illustrated in a service manual for 54 Kaiser. I know there is a photo in the 51 Frazer service manual. Long shoe goes to the front on the 1 1/8 inch piston.

Big help all...Thank you...Just before Dad passed, he pulled everything off of the right front. I just popped the drum back on to move her last year. Nice to know its a simpler set up from my Fords and those are easy:-) The pics in the manuals are sometimes hard to get the details and ignorance of not getting into one yet doesn't help...We all start somewhere and I appreciate the guidance...Now if you can only tell me where the old man put.............lol
