I would like to get a good scan of an original. The one now online at CIRCLEKF is a scan of the 1963 KFOCI Quarterly reprint.
-
I have one that is truly MINT, It has never been opened--"back" is not broken.
It is under wraps, at least for now.
-
Are you sure that is a copy? Seems like a pretty good bid for a copy.
-
Dragon,
I'm confused by your post.
Both the one on eBay and mine are originals.
-
Never mind. I thought someone said the one on ebay was a copy. I believe I am the one confused.

Add another item to the wish list...lol

The copy done by the club was printed with light brown ink and is not in color. It was identified inside the front cover as part of the Quarterly, Vol. Three number Four, December 1963 which was only nine years after they quit making the Darrin's. The original comes in an envelope that says "Owners kit for your Kaiser Darrin" and contains the service policy and owner identification card.
Terry Zeug used to sell them for $100 and that is where I got mine many years ago. They do not turn up very often anymore!

Copies were also made of the manual in the same size and colors as the original. The only difference is on the last page it is noted as a reprint. They're almost as rare as the originals but are much more affordable.

Here's the owner's manual packet for the Darrin...
-
I have reproductions of the envelope.

Great! Thank you for the information! I have a few shows to play this month to take care of some of the items on my growing list:-)
