Here are a couple of photos of the 1956 Olds 324 in my Darrin. Finally got a look at it over the 4th weekend. Needed another set of hands to pop the hood open. And it looks like the upholstery will clean up nicely. Steve

I used to own a Darrin with an Olds V-8 in it also. I sold mine to a collector in Denver about thirty years ago along with two Glasspar roadsters.

That is non typical interior for a Darrin with serial number lower than 51.

Wow more modified Darrin's. I will have some company. When you get it done the performance will be so much better then the 90 hp 6 cylinder. I drive my white Darrin with the 54 331 Cadillac motor all the time and it is a blast. Have fun that's what it is all about.
I drove John Bucinger's 6 cyl Darrin after we got it back on the road and it is lacking performance just like the 53 & 54 Corvettes. It was the first time I drove one with a 6 cyl since my first Darrin in 1961 when I was 16 years old.

I have to agree with you Lee. I drove my Darrin with the 90 HP engine for a few years and put it away in storage for years. Later, I installed an AMC/Jeep 304 V8, along with some other options, and it has been an absolute blast to drive. My wife and I drove from MA to Gettysburg in 2015 to the Kaiser Frazer National Convention. We had a terrific time at the Convention and the trip was so easy and smooth.
