I put a Gear Vendors unit in my motor home and they work great, are bullet proof and are used by drag racers but why would you want one when you can easily use the nice Borg Warner unit available on many cars including Frazer in the 1940's and 1950's?

OD transmissions are common, just be sure obtain the correct unit. 47-50 cars used a transmission home that differs from the 51-55 cars. The yoke can be swapped if needed.

B/W OD units were used in almost all American cars  at sometime between 1947 and 1972. Most of the problems people encounter are outside the transmission, i.e. electrical. Thus it is easier to diagnose and fix a B/W OD unit than it is to figure out why your GM TH350 only works in reverse.
