Anyone know of a source for these rocker cover stud gaskets?
I found these on mercadolivre but need at least 2 more.
They're a very dense hard rubber and keep the bolts centered in the rocker cover holes.
The ones included in an Egge gasket set are just flat gasket paper washers.

If needed...could you use one from a Y-block?

I've seen several similar gaskets for a variety of vehicles but so far none proven to fit an Aero rocker cover hole & stud. These are a very dense hard rubber, I suspect to withstand the compression force to properly seal the large cover to head perimeter gasket. The 1952 engine repair manual states these are made of a soft metal.

I checked an early '52 engine I have and did find metal gaskets mentioned in the '52 manual, and rocker cover stud holes just big enough to clear the stud.
Quite different from the later US or Brazilian version.

I've torn apart several f-heads over the years and have never seen these seals. All have had either flat rubber baskets or metal flat washers in place.
I just took apart my Darrin engine - it had never been open - and it has flat rubber gaskets.

The Brazilian ones pictured are definitely thicker than the ones that were in my "early" '54 F-head, but they did have a wider top flange than the "bolt centering" bottom. At 28K miles when I got it, (now 45k) I couldn't say whether or not the engine was ever opened to do valve adjustment maintenance, especially after the machinist mentioned the recommendation used to be to adjust valves every spring. I know it never got it after 28K, and it showed on the rocker faces.

Seal kit listed in the '54/'55 parts list supplement booklet.
