Title: oil pan wanted 6 cyl 226
Post by: dogwalkfinds on September 23, 2017, 09:52:01 PM
The head on the engine says Kaiser Supersonic, but the car is a '48 Frazer, so it has been the recipient of an engine transplant.
Anyone have an oil pan that will fit? Mine is rotted out at the bottom and would take a few minutes to fix.
Also, does anyone know how to tell the year of the engine?
Engine Data plate says 2019259.

If anyone wants to see how I'm doing with my low $ and low pressure Frazer rehab project:

The 47-50 pan differs from the 51-55. The 47-50 pan empties from the side, the 51-55 pan from the rear.

Mine empties at the back (well, actually from all over the bottom now due to a small corrosion problem).

I have a pan from a 53 Manhattan, empties to the rear.  If you still need one, you can have it for the price of shipping it to you.  It is oily and dirty, but solid.

Sorry, everything else from the engine is gone.
