Title: Automatic Transmission from 1953 Manhattan available
Post by: carguy4165 on October 27, 2017, 06:02:25 PM
I just want this to go to a good home for free (or the price of shipping).  I have no idea if this transmission is operational.  It was removed from the car nearly 20 years ago (the engine was not running when I got the car), and has been stored out of the weather since then.  I have never even removed the pan.

Where do you live?  Does anyone know if it fits a 54?  If so, I am interested.

Carpenter, doing a good analysis/comparison in the parts manuals should allow you to determine if this will fit a '54.

All K52 thru K54 hydramatic are interchangeable. There are minor internal variations but nothing to preclude a swap. It will fit.
