What type of fastener (head and thread type) is suppose to hold the cover in place? Mine are MIA...the old man removed them years ago:-/
Photo later...the system will not allow a jpg directly from my phone.

I'm not familiar with the Darrin so I don't know which cover it is but I do know that Jim B has all of the parts manuals online and the Darrin manual does list all of the fasteners so if no one can supply you with pictures / accurate descriptions, have a look at the manual and see what it lists -

Thanks again for making this information available Jim B. I've used it numerous times.

Thank you Jim and Fid! I definitely overlooked circle KF! Thank you for the reminder!

I think I found the listing...200866...Bolt...lol, other listing shows a 7/16'' hex head...Hmmm...I got lucky and wiggled under and found what appears to be a last survivor of a phillips head machine screw in the top cover under the dash...after looking at the thread marks left in the hole its definitely machine screw, so looks like I'll try to match it up today:-)

Good news! Best of luck as you finish your project.

I have found most of the screws used with brackets etc. are 1/4 - 20 x 3/4" Pan Head Phillips. I used these wood stay nuts with the tabs bent down and epoxied them to the fiberglass from underneath. It was a pain to undo them with a lock-nut.
