Title: Hood rod on 51 Kaiser ?

 The hood on my 51 will not stay up, looks like it had a "prop rod" at some point with a base attached on the front core support....anyone have a photo of a hood prop rod for a 51 Deluxe or is this an "later fix"?

This is a later fix and was never part of the car when new.

Originally the hood on the '51 Kaiser did not have a prop rod. They stayed up on their own but as was pointed out, many of them have weakened hinges/springs now so owners often use a board or something similar to keep them up.
