I have a set of wire wheel covers that were with my Darrin at purchase. I've come to realize that they don't fit because the basket, the part that mounts to the rim, is too tall. Can anyone tell me what the correct basket height is for the Darrin wire wheel cover?
The attached picture shows what I have.

Following this one...I can measure tomorrow (unless someone beats me to it)...I picked up 4 nice wire covers but the baskets are deep(3-1/4â€) like yours...and another set of NOS baskets at a heavy 2-1/2†I was hoping one would be right. At least I know that set is ruled out now. Always more work to be done.

Greetings Jim...sent you a message through messenger since I cannot post a pic with my iPhone here...
2-1/2†with the basket mounted to the cover.

Does your basket that is too deep have a part number? Nash uses the same wire hubcap and there are at least two different depths, one for the Ambassador and one for the Statesman. The deeper one for the Ambassador has the part number 87-6. (See the picture attached). I have some of the lesser depth Statesman ones, but I will have to dig into my parts to see what part number they are. I wonder if the Darrin baskets are the same.
