The name is longer than the car ))

Ah yes, here it is again, Satan's "Alstep." Seems this car just can't find a home. I wonder why? It's rare and likely runs good.
-
And it still has the original hood ormand!
-
It certainly is unique with its pink interior, painted chrome and lack of emblems and proper wheel covers. An interesting car for sure! The ad does not mention overdrive but it appears to have an original radio.

The car has been around awhile. The car was an owned by 'Stan' on the old chat board (late nineties, early 2000) who didn't type well. On that board you had to type your name in each time and he once mis-typed it as 'Satan' with the extra 'a' and it stuck. He mis-typed Allstate and 'Alstep' etc. We've all done those types of things but with this fellow they stuck. The car had that same interior in it and he was always looking for the emblems. I don't recall if the car had overdrive. It is one of those unforgettable cars though and it hasn't changed a bit since those days. It's not too far from me but I have never seen it.

As a Mason, I am admittedly influenced by symbolism and allegory, but is it possible that Satan's Alstep is a message to car collectors sent from out of our dimension or even universe....Disappearing and reemerging until some great unknown event happens.Maybe it will continue until someone actually buys it and restores it.. And then the rapture begins or alcohol mysteriously disappears from gasoline.

Sorry I posted a car that had been posted ).

Not a problem! We all enjoy looking at and reading about our cars. There is quite a variety to enjoy and thanks to all of you for contributing over the years and making the forum fun and interesting.

Don't worry about that at all. I think we'd all agree that we enjoy updates on familiar cars. This one is one I always appreciate seeing. As mentioned, I think it's unfortunate that a rare one like this doesn't find a home and get the treatment it needs. It's been a couple of years since we've seen it. I appreciate knowing it's still out there.

Nothing to apologize for. We all appreciate your comments. Several cars like this one and the Longworth Henry J seem to be continually in search of a home. I've had 11 henry Js and ALLSTATEs. I love it when one of them shows up.It's kinda like girl watching...well maybe not.
