after reviewing all the pics, especially the engine, I challenge the rating claimed in the posting

That judging was allegedly done ten years ago when we had no judging guidelines.  Who knows what it would score today but it is a very nice looking car.  Is that a new record price for a Darrin?

The motor definitely needs some cosmetic attention.

The car certainly presents well. Until, that is, you open the hood...but that's nothing a new head gasket, some cleanup and some paint can't fix.

I had an open question about the clutch return spring but looking at the pictures, I now know where it's to mount!
