are there vent door shades(chrome) available anywhere for a 47/48?

Ventshades and Kromevents were two companies that made vent shades for KF vehicles and they were available for the 1947-50 cars. They are not common and are not as easy to find as those for the 51-55 cars. They occasionally appear on eBay and a want ad in the club bulletin may yield a set.

It is an authentic authorized accessory for most Kaisers and Frazer's but because the demand would be low and the cost to reproduce the four pieces needed expensive the manufacturing fund has not attempted to reproduce them.  Watch eBay or advertise for them in our Bulletin and forum to see if you can find a set.  Because they are made of stainless steel they survive well and you can sometimes find them on a salvage car.
