Looking for the 2 wing shaped grille parts (see photos) for a '51 Kaiser de Luxe. Our current ones are in poor condition and we are not sure if they can be restored.

We may be able to help. We were going to restore two 1951 Kaisers but have sold one. I believe I have two of each pieces that you are looking for but I must find them. I have them on my parts list as NOS (new old stock) never been on a car. They are very hard to find in any kind of good condition as they are made, as you know, of sheet steel and when rusty they will rust through. If plated they usually show bad wavy signs because of the grinding to remove rust. I paid a lot years ago to get the. When I find them, next day or two, I will send pictures. Our best email address to use is now rrdcorvair@yahoo.com. To be up front about this I will be asking $550 for the upper grille and $200 for the lower. It is a lot of money I know but the upper in particular is very hard to get real nice. The hood directs rain water and salt/sand down and across that upper grille. Contact us through email and be sure to supply us with yours for photos. If someone else contacts you with one for less please feel free to buy it as we would not be offended .
