We just missed the Christmas season for our annual party, so we had our Southern California get together in Corona, CA yesterday and had a great time. There was one unusual car there, a 1953 Kaiser Dragon that was cut down to a convertible many years ago. The present owner had a newer GM engine and trans installed.
After our luncheon, we toured the Day Family Classic Car Museum that is not open to the public but only to group tours. There were many very nice cars there including a Henry J and a Willys Jeep.
We took a group picture under the Kaiser-Frazer sign that was there.
I'm sure there will be a write-up in the Bulletin about it.

A little off topic, There was something similar to this Midwestern cold snap when half of our family (11) came to visit my sister and brothers family (11) in Garden Grove, CA in Dec 1976. Mid 80's for the entire two weeks. We then went home to the coldest January on record (Jan 1977) that set a record of 17 straight days in Chicago, where the high never went above zero. It was 23 - 40 degrees below zero in the suburbs where we were located for that month. All of that January was similar. In Feb. my wife said: why are we here when paradise is waiting for us. We moved that August and never looked back!!

When we had an Air Force base (England) in Louisiana (gone now) we picked up some young Air Force guys as our citizens, who were stationed here from the "cold north", with our year round mild temperatures and nice Southern girls.
