Title: Henry J Steering box
Post by: whatwouldjessedo on June 14, 2019, 02:57:13 PM
Does anybody know of a source for a rebuilt HJ steering box, or a decent unit that I could have rebuilt?

I have several of them.  I'm out of town till Monday. I'll check on Monday to see if they're any good as I haven't looked at them in years. What's the problem with yours?  They're pretty rugged and last a long time. If yours is just leaking the seal is easy to replace if you have a pitman arm puller.  Seal is a National 340151  which is also NAPA number NOS 11081.

The splines for the steering wheel are pretty much destroyed on mine, and it has a lot of play. Let me know if you do have one, and what you want for it. Thanks!

My parts list shows I have 3 of them. I will likely not get out to the shed where they're stored till early next week.  When I do, I'll have a look and find the best one and let you know.
