Title: Ash tray on ebay

I've never seen one with a painted lid or a plastic knob.  Anyone else ever seen one? Does not look like a factory issue configuration but rather a painted one with an after-market plastic knob replacing the original chrome one.  That would be my guess. Anyone have anything on this? I didn't see it in any parts manuals either.

I'd say that was someone's attempt at dressing up a rusty or pitted unit.

Thanks. That was the diplomatic description I was trying to come up with. At that price, it will stay in the sellers hands for quite awhile.

The only thing I ever saw was a painted ash tray in a Carolina but it had a chrome knob like an cigarette lighter knob.
