1951 Frazer on ebay

Is this an early s/n with a plastic tip on the hood ornament?
-
It certainly appears to be. Some one has been very careful opening and closing the hood for all of those sixty nine years. If has rust but appears to be all there and not a bad price for a scarce Frazer.

Hey Gordie , what would work for patchwork on those rockers . Worked with a buddy on patching in rockers on a 57 Chevy. Back then we went to a place called Cars in Berkeley . Do love the look of the 51frazer . See so few of them only at the orphan car show .

That sure is a plastic tip on the ornament. I own one and this is only the second I've ever seen.
To answer the rocker panel question, replacements are available from a firm in Michigan. They occasionally advertise rocker panels for the 51-55 Kaiser and Henry J on eBay.

Are they not reproduced? Are they different from a '51 Kaiser?
-
No they are not reproduced. The tips often were broken by service station attendants and others as they used it to slam the hood closed, or so the tribal knowledge goes. Another bit of tribal knowledge is that the factory dediced to replace the plastic tip with the more commonly seen metal tip.

This car was listed on Facebook Marketplace for $900.
