The Aero project seems to go in spurts, grandsons & I made a little more yesterday.
-
I'm impressed! I'm sure the car didn't look that good way back when new!
-
Super nice, you should sell tickets for people to ride in it when you get it on the road! I will buy two!
-
Thanks! Grandsons have helped a lot, and yes. it never looked anything like this when I was driving it.
-
Finally got the last of the Sherwood Gray parts painted, and finished up the long stalled sound system.
-
I like Back Speaker in Middle . On 53 Kaiser Dragon the put it on Passenger Side. So Load is setting that side.
-
Had a full crew today, got a lot done. Should get the hood in a day or two, the underside was a shade darker than the car & the painter wanted to redo it. Boys want to practice driving a clutch so we took it off the dollys this evening and are going driving tomorrow.
-
Last big piece went on today. Grandsons have been putting a few clutch practice miles on it.

Where did you get the headliner? We have a Willys Aero 55 4dr that now needs a new headliner desperately.

An upholsterer used the tattered scrap of an old one as a pattern to stitch a new one. There are/were a few companies on the internet (& ebay) that claimed to have the correct pattern and original material......I think the price was maybe $250?
Upholsterer said he could do it comparably with a modern rot/sun resistant headliner material I picked...……...turned out to not be, but he did a nice job.

Thanks for the info. We'll start a search. No one in Vermont seems available to make or even install headliners. We have two Kaisers that need help in the headliner department. No luck so far. ( we can find plenty of people to repair oxen and horse team harnesses, go figure )
