I have a original pump now-- 6 cylinder model , should I buy one or rebuild the one I have or ?? Thanks

I'd have it rebuilt, and this company does an excellent job. They've done several pumps for me and I've never had a problem with their work.

They also sell kits if you want to do it yourself. Ethanol safe materials!

Thanks Guys !!!!!

You mentioned a six cylinder model so I'm assuming your car has that engine in it. If so, the pictured pump is the wrong one. That pump looks like the unit that fits the four cylinder cars and if so will not work correctly. For the six cylinder cars, you need this pump.

The pictured pump is the one Ron Meditz used to sell - the AC type. I had one on my 6 cylinder J for a long time and the only complaint I had was it was noisy. It also had a tendency to spew oil out the side. I eventually found a Carter type such as the one Joe Frazer posted and installed that because, as Joe pointed out, that's the Carter pump the HJ six was originally equipped with. It's not an easy pump to find so if you're going to have one rebuilt I'd recommend grabbing the one on ebay and having it rebuilt.
