Title: battery grounding- cable or straps
Post by: retroguy on November 08, 2021, 03:25:47 PM
Were 1954 Kaiser Manhattans made with battery grounding straps or cables?  I believe functionally, either one works, but I'm just curious as to what the factory used.  I'm replacing battery to solinoid and solinoid to starter cables with new 00 gauge cables.

The grounding strap was a woven strap where the battery to solenoid and solenoid to starter was a insulated cable .

For a 6 Volt System You Must have the Bradded going to Ground . On Kaiser Frazer is Positive Ground.  It goes straight to the Engine. Negative goes to Solenoid .

Opposite 12 Volt system Today with Negative Ground .
