Post by: rdgodwin1954@gmail.com on December 23, 2023, 11:19:34 AM
We have almost no use of the Forum. Am I missing something?

At the bottom of the Home page, there is a tab called Forum Stats.
Click on [More Stats] https://kfclub.com/forum/index.php?action=stats (https://kfclub.com/forum/index.php?action=stats) and you will see that there is a major downward trend in Forum usage.
(I personally blame Facebook)

Several years ago, I brought attention to the Facebook page that was KF related and how it would erode the usage of this forum.  I was told by the "powers" of this club to basically shut up 'cause FB is the future..

I am the Website Administrator of our local SCCA Region. I now have to rely on Facebook to gather information for the site. Thank God that the Regions FB is public, because I refuse to join (FB).

I avoided FB for a  long time but unfortunately, that's the way everything is going.  I still check in here occasionally and help when I can.

There is nothing wrong with FB as long as you don't tell everybody every time you fart sideways.

Thanks for the replies. I am also one who doesn't want to be on Facebook.

Hi all -- my first "newbie" post here on the KFOCI forum.  And for the record, I hope to help raise those forum stats a bit.  After perusing many of the posts here (as I learn the ropes), I have become an ardent fan and believer of these pages.  I want to thank the many many KF members who have given (posted) information so freely over the years; information I will be doing my best to devour as I delve back into the complete, frame-up, "rotisserie restoration" (I just heard that term and love it) of my beloved Darrin #100. I will do my best to post helpful information in addition to the few obligatory "dumb questions" I'll no doubt be asking from time to time. Grateful for this resource.

Also grateful to those members I spoke with in the past (several years ago now) when I began the process.  Now that I have trailered my Darrin so that it's much closer to home (and not in another state), I am confident I will find the time in the coming couple of years to make it happen.  Looking forward to meeting many of you and sharing my restoration saga as I am able.
