Title: Noise suppression???
Post by: mbflemingkf on March 14, 2011, 09:08:45 PM
I'm wondering if anyone knows a modern day condenser number for the generator and/or voltage regulator for my 54 Kaiser to put on to reduce noise through the radio.  I just installed one of those Redi-Rad radio tuners and I'm very happy with it when the car isn't running.  Once I start the car, I'm getting engine noise through the radio speaker.  Any ideas welcome.  Is it a good idea to put one on the voltage regulator too or just the generator like was originally on the car (I think).   ???

Contact Matt, the owner of Radi-Rad, and he can help with the suppressor.

Something else to try is to insure that all connections in the system and engine electrics are clean and tight-a noisy connection can make a noisy radio.

Wow, that was fast, Mike!  Glad to hear you like it!  I need to wait until I have a job again before I get the radio working or consider the device!
