I'm looking for a 1951 Henry J dash board, I don't need the insturmentation, just the metal dash. I live in south eastern Ohio. Thanks for any help. Don

Seth Jones had one on ebay not too long ago. I don't think it sold. It may have had a glove box so if you're going for authenticity, it would be wrong in a '51 (only '52-'54s had gloveboxes). You can contact him via ebay - his ID is jonesvintageparts
Be careful when you deal with him as he doesn't know the parts very well. He often believes one part fits all models so be sure to ask specific questions about what you want.

You do know the dashboard is welded in, don't you? Some years ago at a KF National I bought a complete dash for a 53 Manhattan. It was pointed out to me later that the dashes are welded in and sure enough, when I re-examined my buy that I found all the welds had been carefully cut through. I don't know how they did it, but it must not have been quick or easy. And I don't see how it could be put back in a car easily either.
