Title: Darrin
Post by: retired wrench on October 07, 2012, 08:12:35 AM

I saw my first Darrin at the hill climb in New Port In yesterday. The guy was from Wisc. What a treat to see one "in the flesh"

I saw it also it was quite nice, we shook hands as I passed by him in my '51 Henry J. Lots of nice cars there.

Are you the fella with the blue one? Saw the car but you must have been in the beer garden.

No, my J was flat black with red and white pinstripes, otherwise bone stock.

It is a 6 cyl. My first car was a 4 cyl. with  o/d in 1953, it was a '51, bone stock, as my only income was mowing lawns, and I couldn't afford to do much  to it. his one is now painted the way I wanted my first one done.
