A parts car with lots of parts for mine. I pick it up Friday, Henry.

From the picture it looks a little better than a parts car. One good thing is it has a '53 rear bumper and pan and '53 tail lights. You see a lot of '51s (actually all years) with a mix/match of parts as everything bolts onto most models so when people were preserving these cars they had to use whatever they could find. Good luck with it. I hope is serves you well.

I got the 51 home today, one question, am I correct that the electrical system is 6V pos to ground? I am going to put a 12V coil and battery on it to see if it will start, after disconnecting all the rest of the electrical system, thanks, Henry.
-
Yes, if it is original, it will be 6 volt positive ground.

We disconnected all the wires at the starter and removed the coil and installed a 12V coil and fed starter fluid to the carb and it fired up after sitting for 42 yrs. Play time now, still debating which car to complete. Ross took a phone video of it running which I will post. Henry

Here is the startup video, Henry.

Good deal Henry! Started right up. Post some more pictures of the body and interior, from the few we've seen it looks pretty solid and complete for a parts car.

Here is the add, he got offers just above the 2000$ that I would not go above, so he called me back and sold it to me instead of paying more out for towing and storage. Henry

It doesn't look like a '51 to me.

I tried the link and the ad is no longer posted.

Sorry the add was taken down the other day. The car has had many panels changed.
