Title: Here's a rare one!

In between a wedding reception and my daughter's college graduation (4.0 student!) I found time to visit the Midwest Willys Reunion last weekend. Always a great show full of rare Jeeps, this car really caught my eye. It's a 55 Willys Custom 2 door with the 226 and OD. The owner bought it several years ago and just got it running. I was impressed!

According to my figures, there were 288 2-door Customs built with the 226 engine and only 2 built with the F-head 6! Rare indeed. I can only account for two others besides this and one of them was destroyed years ago. Thanx for the pics, been looking for them. Do you have any contact info you can forward to me (by e-mail)?

I have long thought that the 55 was the best looking.  I know it gets criticism for a "busy" grill, but I really like it.
