Title: 1949 KAISER SPECIAL DOOR PUSH BUTTON

DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE CHROME RING AROUND THE PUSH BUTTON THAT OPENS THE DOORS?
I GOT THE DOOR PANEL LOOSE ALL AROUND BUT CANT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE THE RING OFF SO I CAN REMOVE THE PANEL.
MY SHOPE MANUAL ONLY GUIDENCE IS REMOVE THE BUTTON. I NEED TO DO IT CORRECT SO I WILL NOT DAMAGE ANYTHING.

I took mine off of my 49. Look at the pull handle. On the underside there are two screws. Unscrew them and the pull handle will come off. The door panel should slide over the button.

thanks...next time i have some time ill try it.....i did all you said the first time but it was not sliding out....ill pay closer attention at the button area next time.
