Title: leaf spring lubrication
Post by: jmxkf1 on September 08, 2009, 05:20:51 PM
I'm restoring a '53 Kaiser which still has the leaf spring covers.  (None of my KF products had this still) I'd like to find that tool that's shown in the shop manual used to lube the springs when they get creakey.   It looks like a C clamp.   I think it pokes through the cover somehow and the grease is pushed in with the compressed air.  I don't know what keeps the grease from coming back out though.   Anybody know where I might find one ?  Information on pros and cons would be appreciated.   thanks,   Jim ???

I'm interested in this question as well, as my springs are squeeky.  Also original coverings.
