Title: 47 Frazer for Sale
Post by: Gatz on October 01, 2009, 09:58:59 AM
Have a 47 Frazer for sale.  VIN F4733643

Grey in color.  The body is in very good shape with only a few rust spots.
I don't know about the floor, but would guess it's the same.  All trim is there.  Has the sunvisor.
Has the complete power train, but the engine is stuck.  The interior needs replacement.
1994 Nebraska title.

Would like $650 for it.  Located in northeast Nebr.

(can't seem to get the image upload to work.  Tells me "can't find the path to image" or something to that effect.)

Email me for pix,  dgatzem@aol.com

Thanx  Gatz

Well this car definitely looks worth restoring.  I certainly hope someone does.  Maybe I just have never noticed, but is the Darrin script on the lower right side of the decklid standard on all '47 Frazers?  '48?

To answer Logan's question - Yes, the Darrin Styled emblem was on all 1947 Frazers but only on the very early 1948s as the story goes, Dutch Darrin did not like the way the car was updated from his original design and insisted it be removed. It showed up again on the 1951 Kaiser, which Darrin did design.

Sure wish I knew someone with a trailer who's dead-heading east. I'd seriously think about it!

I see a bumper guard and the emblem are missing. How hard are those to replace?

Parts for 'early' (47/8 KF) cars are readily available not expensive. NOS parts are still available and many of the club vendors carry most everything needed to restore a car like this.

I have the front hood "je suis pret" emblem.  It's in perfect condition.

Removed it so it didnt get damaged.

The bumper guard musta ran off somewheres....I'll look for it.

Gatz

(If I can figure out how to include a picture in a post, I'll put a pic of the emblem in)

Well I think I would like it.  But now we are talking about timing. When will the metal man be called?

I am still waiting on delivery of 4 cars, believe it or not and I am not going to commit to another KF before delivery of the cars. Payment can be made in the next 30 days, but pickup probably not "right away".
