The reserve must be close to $32k as that's what it's listed at on other sites. I know Darrins command a premium but the asking price to me seems a bit steep.

32K...wow. If it weren't a Darrin, it would be a parts car.

I go in and look on Beverly Hills Car Club website about once every 2 months.  They have quite a few cool cars. Not a club of course but a business.

I think they throw these on ebay for advertising and exposure.  Someone here found it, placed it on the club website and so on.

Who buys it?  A monied collector who cuts a check for a car like this like he/she does for weekly groceries. Then his/her shop manager goes and picks it up, it gets a no money spared restoration, goes underground for awhile then will pop up on the hig end auction circuit someday.

I suspect price will be between $15,000 and the $32,000 they probably want, so about $24,000 will change hands.

Buyers know that there is a lot missing on that Darrin and it won't be an easy restoration.

I offered them $12500 the first time it was for sale and they politely refused. Looking again at what's there, that was too much.

There is a lot on that car that in my opinion will require fabrication as much as restoration.
