Here it is a Darrin with the heart of a late model Corvette. # 397 is now converted.

I saw that online years ago. They have moved the rear wheel openings back, cut out the floor among other things. The body is not finished. It's a major and I mean major project. How much money do you want to spend to finish it?

I inquired about the original chassis and running gear. It is no longer available.

what a way to ruin a beautiful and rare automobile!!! So another one bites the dust!!!

I wonder what people think of my 3 Darrins. They are all modified I have won hundreds of awards been in 3 national magazines, taken them all over the country and they draw big crowds where ever I go. Not sure they have bitten the dust. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think if that car ever gets finished it will be be a real beauty and will bring more attention to Kaiser then Kaiser will ever get any other way. That car finished will be worth a bundle probably 2 to $300,000 maybe more.
I think keeping them tucked away not letting others enjoy them is the real crime. Just my 2 cents.
I just finished #51 my white Darrin put 2000 mi on it already. Put a 1954 331 Cadillac engine in it with a 53 hydro it runs like a bat out of hell. This is the way the car should have been built.
