Interior shots show car is an automatic transmission, not a manual as described

A good $1000 project.  Aren't 53 Travelers pretty rare?

A Traveler without tailgate rot has to be worth close to the asking price. The tinworm ruined many of these early in life. This one looks pretty solid...but a personal inspection would be prudent.

I agree on the inspection.  There were less than 1,000 1953 Kaiser Travelers produced: at least 1 of them is an actual, tag-identified 1953 Kaiser Manhattan 4-door sedan with leather upholstery.  It was "discovered" around the time of the National Convention in Arizona & at last report is in the collection of a Jeep enthusiast in California.
