What was the breakpoint when the embossing on the rear bumper was changed..WILLYS OVERLAND TO WILLYS?

Both my early 48 and my late 51 Jeepsters had Willys Overland bumpers. My 48 three door wagon had the same.

I know it doesn't answer the question but it does help understand when it was used.
