Has a frazer manhattan steering wheel, otherwise doesn't look too bad in the photos.
-
What color is it? It looks blue in some pictures and grayish green in others.
-
In '48 there was a color called "Linden Green" and I have seen quite a few that color. The fact that the dash is green (as is the upholstery on the door panels), I would conclude it is Linden Green. Here's a picture of the Linden Green '48 Custom we had.

The car appears to be missing bumper guards at each end. It's also sporting 51 Frazer door arm rests.

Joe, I don't know if you remember the pics I posted of the original leather door panels in the Custom I posted. It has Frazer arm rests but of course, it's a Custom, not a Special -

Did the ones Jack mentioned in that other post (Kaiser Specials trimmed with Custom upholstery) have Frazer arm rests?

The factory memo does not go into much detail other than to say that KAISER CUSTOM materials were used in around 10,000 SPECIALS. There was no change in price for the higher grade upholstery, etc compared to regular 1948 Kaiser Specials. There is also no indication in the document as to use of the Special Order Code number (888) and a "K" number in the SPEC-FO header of the body tag on affected cars.
I can't dig the document out as all the K-F and Willys stuff is already packed for the move & won't be accessible until probably sometime in November. Barbara starts her new job in the Seattle WA area October 12th; we expect to be on our way there at the end of the month of September, 2015.
