Hi All, the leaf springs on my '53 Kaiser are sagging. There are a few places which will make up new springs. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with buying new ones or re-arching old ones, adding a leaf etc? I don't know any local places here in Santa Rosa, Ca places. thanks

St. Louis Springs. Great product, reasonable price, and installed them myself. Highly recommend. :)

EATON DETROIT SPRING was the OEM for your springs.

Eaton in Detroit made new springs for my Packard. Ride height back and level, ride exceptional even with a full trunk. Very happy with product.

So I called Eaton Detroit Spring and they do not have a listing for the front or rear Darrin Springs. They do list front springs for a Henry J.
-
They did have the listings at one time.
I went there to order and they could not find the drawings anymore.

I talked to Nick at St. Louis Spring Company (from above) and they don't have a listing either but they are half the price of Eaton. They just don't do coils but he directed me to Coil Spring Specialty's in Topeka, KS. I will see what they have to offer.

I got the leaf springs from St Louis. I asked why they were so much cheaper than the others and was told that St Louis manufactures them whereas the others don't. $129 per side sounds better than $579 per side. The $129 price doesn't include hardware. I also have to pay someone to install them. I'll post my results. Thanks for your responses. Jim
