Title: Replaced brakes

I just finished replacing the rear brakes on the 54 Special, new Raybestos shoes and new wheel cylinders from Willow Run. Turned the adjusters all the way lose and now the drums will not go over the new shoes. Any suggestions. I thought about having the drums turned but no one around here wants to tackle that job. They say they don't have any specs on the drums and it would be a liability.

Hi have you loosened the handbrake adjuster all the way, if not it will prevent you to get the drums back on.

That was it. The drums are back on. Thanks for the information. This forum sure solves the problems.
