Title: 4 cyl thermostat

I ordered a replacement thermostat and sleeve that fit in the thermostat housing, noticed the new unit was slightly different. Original unit "hung" from the top of the sleeve. Does the new unit fit within the sleeve or sit on top of it? I hate to put it together wrong, tho I've done such things.

The thermostat should sit on top of the sleeve.
