Title: New member intro
Post by: 54robbie on November 12, 2015, 11:28:03 AM
Hi everyone. I just joined your site and am impressed with the info that is being shared amongst the members. Very helpful!!.
I own a '54 Willys Lark Deluxe that I bought from the original owner some 30 plus years ago. I finished the restoration in 2009 after a long 10 year journey.
I was really suprised to see so many familiar names on your site such as Rick Kamen, Lew Retzer, Rudy Phillips and many others. Most of which I have spoke with over the years.
I have a question about front axle supports, the piece between the upper and lower trunnions. Are there any NOS ones out there? These are the larger 3/4 inch ones.
When I restored the car I scored new trunnions but never gave any thought to the supports. Now I'm finding that I have a fair bit of slop on the one side.

Thanks

Brian from Canada

I've seen the guy that listed this auction list them in the past, can't say which, early or late model.
Might be worth asking.

That is a "buy it now" auction and he indicated that he had four of them.
