Title: How to move car a couple of feet?

I need to move the Kaiser 10-15 feet forward and back and i was wondering what is the best place to wrap a chain around to pull it forward.I did it before to my dads 63' valiant with a chain wrapped around the pitman and idler arms but I am not sure if there is a better way .Does it matter how far in or out i wrap the chain around the rear axle to pull it back?

I've done the same, just make sure you don't interfere with the brake lines.

I would not recommend wrapping a chain around idler arms or tie rod arms, My aunt had that done on her '58 Chevy and when
the guy popped the clutch jerking the chain tight, it damaged her front suspension. I would hook the chain to the front bumper
bracket where it bolts to the frame. As Joe said there is a issue of crushing the brake line, so I would recommend hooking the
chain to the rear leaf spring shackle. Be careful to not interfere with the chain on the bumpers. I have pulled Kaisers with John
Haller back in the day and it worked fine.

Why not use a floor jack under the rear axle gears and front end and you can easily maneuver the car by yourself?

Gordie ,the car is kept outside on a hill in my driveway.

Boatingbill ,do you mean to wrap the chain where the Y bracket begins to split?(I just want to make sure)

I don't have access to the car now, but hook the chain where the front y bumper bracket bolts to the frame.

If you're pulling it from the back you can just wrap it around your spring hanger just be easy
