Title: Trim 4424 for a Henry J
Post by: AZ_HJ on January 02, 2010, 03:02:31 PM
Does anyone have a detail description of what a Trim of 4424 is on a Henry J?
All I have seen is that it is a Cape Verde Green Dragon Vinyl. This is also the same descriptionf or Trim 4430. It would be great if some one could also reference documation to support their information.

My guess is one difference would be that 4424 would have the pleated vinyl on the door panels as I've seen a number of them with just green, non-pleated, vinyl panels. It would also likely mean that the seats were all pleated vinyl whereas the other code had plaid inserts.

Looks like the difference between 4424 and 4430 is Folding Rear Seat vs Stationary Rear Seat. Best that can be determine is the it is all Cape Verde Green Dragon Vinyl. The Front and Back Seats have 2" Pleats as well as the door panels and quarter panels have 2" pleats as well.

It appears that the combination came on line in the spring or summer of 1951;  I found a Confidential Bulletin detailing Accessory Group 24 dated March 1951.   I have no dealer ordering info for HJ's covering color and trims during this period but I know they were issued.
