Anybody know of a source for the bushings that go on the upper end of the linkage rods near the steering box? mine are missing, 53 henry j

The steering column gear shifter, or H Box, is a Chevy item. Check out a 1950's Chevrolet parts supplier. Fits 1949-54 car and 1948-59 truck. Lots of Henry J components were used on other makes.

I don't know what part(s) you are asking about. Are they shown in this diagram?

If so, let me know the number - I may have them.

Hey thanks Fid, I'd say #3, the two shift rods that come up from the levers on the tranny go into the levers that come off the steering column, the bushing are missing on my 53, just finding the little things as I have it all apart, let me know, thanks again, Mike

I'm pretty sure I have them. I won't be out to the shed where they're stored for a few days, maybe a week or so. If you find some in the meantime, don't hesitate to grab them up, otherwise when I get out there I'll see if I can find them.

Thanks Fid, no rush, keep me posted, Mike
