Nice looking car but it is not a club coupe as the ad states. It is a two door sedan.

A very pretty car but I wonder about the mileage.  Why would a allegedly 16,000 mile car need a total restoration including the dash and window reveals?  My '51 coupe has 39,000 miles and doesn't need any restoration except for the front drivers side seat back showing wear.  Also I doubted that the base '52 Virginian was available with two tone paint like the deluxe models.  After looking it up in the Confidential Bulletins it was indeed an option and this original looking firewall plate has the paint code for the two colors that are on the car.  This is the cheaper Special model and not a Deluxe.   It has a non padded dash and no lock on the glove box door but many desirable accessories including non KF beauty rims.  The seller is correct in that you could not make a Kaiser look this good for the price that he is asking.

You make some good points Gordie.  It seems there are a lot of the base model KFs (especially the second generation body style) that were restored to look like the deluxe models.  That's why my '51 Kaiser Special will always remain original as it is - no extra trim or stuff will be added by me.

Poor storage can lead to a need for restoration. I have seen several cars with low mileage that might as well be parts cars.

...and we don't know what "restoration" means for this car. Frame off? Or just a freshening. Either way, it looks like a nice car. Being offered by a dealer, will add $4000 to $10,000 and I doubt it sells. (Reserve)
