On the firewall, under the driver's side window, there is a small metal box possibly a regulator? It has one glass fuse and a plug coming off the bottom of it. What is it called, and more importantly, where can I buy the wire assembly that plugs on to the bottom?
-
Is this it?
-
Very likely is what Corsairdeluxe posted. If so, that is the overdrive relay.

If you're a member of KFOC, the monthly bulletin always has an ad by Bob McBride who makes new wire harnesses. He can make one up. He just did one of these for me in April. Works/looks great.

Yes, that's definitely it... Thank you!
-
you sill need to supply McBride the 4-slot connector
-
If you contact Bob he'll tell you what he needs. Yes, you need to send him the white plug

Thank you for the reply and the pictures. How do I get ahold of him? Cost? Turn around time?

PM sent with info. Interesting, in a previous post you said you know that you do not have overdrive. It appears you do have overdrive. A couple of things to know - when the overdrive cable is pushed in, the car will "free wheel." In other words, there's no engine braking. This also means that you must put the car in reverse when you park it otherwise it can and will roll away if you don't have the brake set. If the overdrive cable is pushed in, put in reverse when parked - good rule to remember. Also, if you want to push-start it, you must pull the overdrive cable out so it will not free wheel.
