I'm looking for one or a pair of NOS rear axle bumpers for my '53/'54, Part # 803293.
I have one NOS and 3 crusty ones.

These are the bumpers between the floor and the axle that stop it from bottoming out? I have dried and cracked used ones. Might be a good idea for the manufacturing Fund...

These are the ones (2 required) mounted in the frame arches over the axles.
There's a different one, solid rubber, over the differential that for some reason seems to age much better.
So far I've nothing found "jeep" that cross references except for the differential bumper.
I had stumbled across someone in the past that could mold and re-vulcanize new rubber to your old metal plates (engine/trans/etc mounts) but seem to have lost that info.
How much interest would the manufacturing fund need to deem these worthwhile?

Gave them a call and they think they might be able to modify an existing mold to do them on bases sent in. Sent several photos and they'll give me an estimate. I'll post what I hear back from them.
As with any custom work, quantity brings the per piece price down so if anyone else wants new axle bumpers, now might be a good time.
There's two designs, one is from very early '52 with an angular design that's shorter than the later '52 and upward rounded design that's taller.
I told them that an angular design to reduce mold cost will be fine as long as it's as tall as the later type and tapers down to the same top dimension for the same rebound/cushion effect.

Sent my fuel pump & a couple old axle bumpers to Thenandnow in MA. They did a beautiful full rebuild on the pump right away, said it would be longer on the bumpers.
They modified an existing mold and just got them done and did a really nice job. Bumpers are now supple as new compared to the old ones which were about the same consistency as white pine, even the NOS single I have was very stiff. Pictured are a later type, rebuild and and very early '52 type. New one is 1/16th taller than early '52, 3/16ths shorter that later type.
Not cheap, $99 for a run of two.

They would be a great source, perhaps, for rebuilt engine mounts.
