The 53 that I have has been pronounced dead. I have the wholecar taken apart so if there is a part you need ask and if I have it in good shape I will sell it to you cheap. Ihve both front and rear windshields. Also all knobs from the interior. If you need a mechanical part ask me. I live in Jacksonville, Florida so any shipping would be from here. I have taken the car totally apart so I can send pics of what you want. Thanks, Dan

Thanks for all of your help. Since I don't have anything in the way I will pull the box and shaft. I should know by now that nothing is easy on this rebuild. Dan

When I looked at the threads on the control arms I might need to replace one or two. Has anyone repaired damamge to these threads without replacement? How can I contact Mr. Barker?

i need to replace both front coil springs on a Manhattan. When I removed them both of them were broke at one coil up from the bottom. Is this something the Kaiser does or was it Hard driving by previous owner? Does someone have a pair for sale? Dan

I just finished pulling the front suspension completely apart to get it rebuilt. I thought when I first got the car it actually had the 68,000 miles on it. Once I saw how bad the condition of the floors were i thought 168,000. Now that the front end is apart I am thinking 268,000. Both coil springs were broken and some of the grease was so thick and hard I had to chip it off with a hammer. I now see how the front end is adjusted. It was an interesting removal. I will post some more pics later.

On the rear wheel wells I have some fittings for ?? Since the Stainless trim was already gone si that the only item that goes there? Is this considered the fender skirt or is that another part. I know what a regular skirt is but i don't know if that applies to the trim or not. Thanks, Dan

I am still in the taking the car down to the base parts so I can see what I need to do to it. I am working on getting the doors off and taking all the windows out. I have to replace most of the glass due to cracks. I saw Kaiser Bill's recommendation on taking your car apart so you know how things go back but I bought this car in a dissasembled condition except for the body and frame. I will post some more pics later. Dan
